    Actually yes. Not all of them, but a large part of that group have high debt not because they don't have that much money but because they spend too much (it's an easy trap to fall in, since the purchases by themselfs don't amount to that much). Think young people who are getting okay but not great jobs and who are used to either having their parents pay for them or finance their income on credit.

    I think Apple/Verizon/ATT probably moved a lot of free and $20-40 iphone 3GS deals that were flying around when the IP4 came out.
