BIP39 (https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0039.mediawiki https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0039.mediawi...) mnemonics are the industry standard for deriving keys. If you use enough words (the standard will not let you use less than 12), then you are completely fine.
- csomar 6y agoThe problem is if you come up with the words yourself, you are most likely to screw up. So people should be aware that they should use a random number generator.
