Its a no-brainer. In Arizona, and other hot states, where the temperature outside is scorching, everyone is inside where its air-conditioned to very cool temperatures, with higher humidity.
- liamwestray 6y agoInfluenza does not spread like this in Arizona, so maybe, just maybe this isn’t comparable. And it is a no-brainer... AZ is 48th in the nation in education, and 4th in per-capita unvaccinated children in schools.
- Fjolsvith 6y agoIf you get coronavirus, and are outside getting fresh air and vitamin-D sunlight, you don't get a sniffle. If you are inside, and develop congestion from the cool air, and go to the hospital or doctor, you're going to get tested and counted. Wasn't talking about the flu. Was talking about COVID. Besides, when a state as populous as California has zero COVID deaths of people under 18, why are we worried about kid vaccinations for COVID?
- liamwestray 6y agoCoronavirus us spreading in AZ despite the outside weather that does effect the flu. If your hypothesis about “everyone being inside” was correct the flu would also spread more in summer. It doesn’t. Ergo, coronavirus does not spread like the flu, it spreads more easily. The god damned idiot who wrote this article is wrong. I work in microbial research... lots of stupid PhDs who can’t do data analysis exist. Most aren’t this stupid.
