For some reason this reminded me of one of my favorite Wikipedia pages:

I read through it every couple of years and am amazed at the number of things considered "common knowledge" which are completely untrue.
- iuliangulea 6y agoThat is a great list you've shared. Thank you! It takes a great deal of self-consciousness to keep an eye on such things that feel like "obvious truths," just because you grew up in an environment that was reinforcing those misconceptions.
