- qubex 6y agoAssuming (as one conversant with how financial institutions of this size’s IT departments work) this is most likely a system for running contract valuations; a five second lag between when the valuation is requested (process launched) and when it completes is entirely acceptable if it can be scheduled for running at regular intervals or on triggers if required, and five seconds is fine for the occasional interactive (user-initiated) dalliance.
