Is there a need for .Net anymore?
Even Microsoft proved that they could build a featurific program without .Net, in VSCode. It’s an electron and JavaScript application. And, they were able to make it run everywhere.
- tigershark 6y agoYes, it’s obviously needed, especially with the introduction of .Net Core. And seriously, comparing C# or F# with JavaScript is ridiculous. Typescript on the other hand is quite good, but its compiled JavaScript performance is much worse than .Net.
