Always considered doing this sort of thing but with a more myspace-y lean but never did because I knew the users would still find ways to ruin it in multiple ways. Off the top of my head people could still just link to media and it would make grooming far easier without any expectations of profile photos. This is all compounded by the fact that text is much harder to moderate than images as you can't immediately read the situation at a glance and it's not like moderating a normal social network was ever an easy task anyway.
