Modern phones have 2+ GB RAM and an SoC that could easily be used in a tablet or laptop (think low end Chromebook). The PinePhone literally runs mainline Linux. Mobile is PC, it's only the physical form factor (and associated power usage constraints) that differ.
- scarface74 6y agoI agree but that’s besides the point. The point was that Intel relying on its moat of PC sells is not a great proposition.
- Reelin 6y agoFair enough. Relying on the sale of either x86 based systems or devices with a large form factor seems like a questionable business plan to me as well.
