Ask HN: How Successful Is Stellar.org?

I am going through the documentation of Stellar platform and it looks really good. But the adoption does not seem very impressive compared to other somewhat similar offerings e.g. Ripple. Why has stellar.org not taken the cross-border payments systems by storm i.e. why don't we see many "anchors" on the stellar network compared to ripplenet?
