A thing I find myself doing a lot in Ruby is redefining a method (monkeypatching) to see if it fixes a problem: class Foo::Bar; def something() something_else; end end Working in Clojure is like if the whole environment were built with the expectation that you would be doing that all the time. Instead of typing into IRB, you just send it to the REPL from inside your editor with a single keystroke.
