I guess the author is not aware of Rodney Brooks or any number of other long existing proponents of having AI be embodied. And that’s not even taking into account that the network, its data, and sensors attached to it, and their data all fill the role of a kind of embodiment in an environment if that’s something the author thinks is missing.
