- jorge-d 6y agoIt's quite similar to the one I've been using on my 2018 15" MBP for the past two years. Can you give more information on the cause of the problem? Did you close the macbook very firmly and it broke?
- dabernathy89 6y agoI also used one on a 15" MBP (albeit 2015 model) for a long time with no trouble. I don't recall closing the lid particularly hard when it broke, though I may have.
- iso947 6y agoThat’s about half a mm. what the hell happens to Apple laptops if you get a coin trapped in there When did Apple start building such fragile devices?
- justinclift 6y agoUsing something as hard as a metal for a screen cover like this seems to be asking for trouble?
- dabernathy89 6y agoIt's explicitly advertised for that purpose ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- floatingatoll 6y agoThey indicated “no thicker than a sheet of paper” and that’s far thicker than a sheet of paper, and incompressible too.
- dabernathy89 6y agoThis is new guidance, which I'm glad they issued. These kinds of covers worked on previous MBP models with no trouble, though.
- floatingatoll 6y agoThe small leather adhesive dot I use on mine is extremely compressed and dented by the case, and that’s a 2017 MBP, so I’m kind of shocked people are using hard plastic ones at all.
