- ghaff 6y agoFundamentally, OpenOffice and then LibreOffice never became a serious business for any company with significant resources. It arguably circled nearby with Novell and IBM at various times but nothing ever really clicked. Now there are 40 developers. Mostly from a company that apparently isn't doing that great. LibreOffice has always been understaffed relative to the competition. But it wouldn't shock me if there were more HR people associated with GSuite than there are LibreOffice developers.
