This sounds like a great project and a really good outcome. OP learned a lot and the project provided motivation for him to explore interesting tech and gain real insights about the drawbacks of each. If I had gotten that much of all my side projects that would be great! If your expectation is that each side project will turn into an Instagram style success story, you’ll most likely never be happy.
