This article is an example of why, even as an avowed lefty, I just don't like Current Affairs; this is far too many words just to say "Silicon Valley luminaries don't understand the media properties they claim to love."

- 082349872349872 6y agoAs far as way-too-lossy compression of written work goes, I wonder why 1984 and Brave New World are taught as dystopias? In the former, the 87+% of the population who are not Outer Party members have freedom of conscience, while in the latter, the islands sound very much like they'd be just as amusing and edifying places to live as Dante's First Circle.
