The difference between a feature and a product is in the eye of the beholder, but "just chat" isn't a very compelling product. All the strong products in this space (Teams, Slack, Discord et al.) are Chat+ products with integrations, voice, bots, and other non-chat features to make collaboration more productive. I think the product is facilitating remote collaboration, chat is just one very significant feature.
