What you say is true, but you can’t directly compare the numbers of confirmed cases today to the numbers from 3 months ago. We are currently testing 600-700k people each day. At the beginning of April we were only testing less than a quarter of that, around 125-150k people per day. There has certainly been community spread. But the average age of a confirmed case has also dropped enormously.
