I'll pay $20 for a movie and be entertained for a couple hours. I've paid $90 for a collectors edition game and played 100's of hours (maybe a thousand or more).
They could charge $100 for a AAA game that doesn't have in-app purchases and I would pay it - if its something I think I'd enjoy a lot.
- atomi 6y agoI remember in the 80's and early 90's there used to be a great shareware ecosystem with computer games. I'd really like to be able to play the game before deciding to spend $100 on it. As it is there are some games I buy that I just never get to play anyway due to time or lack of interest.
