Soil simulation
This is just one part of one of the sillier things I'm working on/thinking about. How can I make a real-time interactive soil simulation work, essentially a big realistic virtual sandbox.
Since this is a side project, it'll go as far as all side projects go. =)
- vidanay 6y agoMechanics or chemistry?
- shezi 6y agoMechanics. The virtual building aspect is in the foreground.
- vidanay 6y agoThe main reason I asked was because I recently saw a show where a scientist was studying the chemical composition of soil under decomposing animals. They are trying to determine the situations under which fossils were formed since it is extraordinarily rare for remains to actually form a fossil.
- jakeogh 6y agoThis video series about soil is really interesting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUmIdq0D6-A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUmIdq0D6-A
- shezi 6y agoLooks excellent, thanks for the recommendation. Even though for my purposes, chemistry isn't that important, as we're doing mechanical simulation.
