I strongly dislike this article because the title is much broader than most of the substance of the article. Advising not to overextend an abstraction is inarguable. The actual title "Duplication is far cheaper than the wrong abstraction", and the thing that people will really discuss, is a loaded statement that's going to need a lot of caveats.
