You don't need a third-party tool. Firefox + NoScript + Page Style->No Style Fixes many many sites including this one. Many sites are just fine without that final No Style step. It fixes many of the most recalcitrant sites. If that doesn't work I usually don't bother reading the article. Similar trick for Safari. Just enable the Develop menu and you can check Disable Styles and Disable JavaScript and you get both the text and the pictures.
