- D2187645 6y agoTrump should not have endorsed a treatment because he "felt" it was good. This forced scientists/media to issue warnings when people were dieing from preemptive self medication. It is really easy to overdose, and has complications for people with cardiac issues.
- bandushrew 6y agoTrump should definitely not ever, ever, EVER have endorsed a drug that was not thoroughly tested for the purpose he was recommending it. that was insane. Everything that followed makes sense...of course the entire scientific and medical world fell over itself to stop people trying to use it.....until it was tested and proven effective and safe for the purpose. * incidentally, I have no idea why a US President would ever endorse any drug at all, let alone one that was untested.
- rumanator 6y ago> They literally discouraged people to use a potentially beneficial treatment just because Trump endorsed it. It's insane. Wrong. They literally discouraged people to use an entirely unverified and unproven treatment because a politician elected on a blatantly anti-intellectual platform decided to make totally unsubstantiated and dangerous claims regarding its alleged effectiveness. We're talking about the same politician who also suggested injecting disinfectant as an equally viable treatment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKCe8Pq_RUA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKCe8Pq_RUA This is the sort of credible and safe claims regarding public health you're trying to defend.
