I don't think this article does nearly enough work to support its claim that a misunderstood belief in entropy is responsible for human greed, a claim which I think is dead wrong. Most people don't have a misunderstanding of entropy because most people have no knowledge of the concept whatsoever. You don't need the second law of thermodynamics to make human beings shortsighted fools. We've been doing that for millennia.
