Only speaking from experience: my kids loved to be useful. They’re a little past the toddler stage now, and still love to help with the chores around the house. Have them help pick up toys, clear dishes from the table, pick up sticks in the yard. You get the idea...little things that a 2-3 year old could easily do. Now that they’re older (5 and 7) they still love to help but have graduated to real things like cleaning up their rooms, vacuuming, taking care of the pets, etc.
