  Modern 35mm yes, and even then if the lens you put in front of it resolves 1mpx it doesn't really matter. A 4k remaster of the first star wars still look worse than a modern movie shot on film with modern glass and cameras. Let alone early 1900s 35mm film.

      4k doesn't mean anything. I can scan a 8mm film at 8k, it's still not going to look good.
