I've been living in my converted 26ft (7.8m) bus for 3 years. I know what it's like having a large vehicle. A fifth wheel can't go where I want to go. A Defender is too small for me to live in full time, plus they cost 4-7 times what I paid for my LMTV. Every option is about trade offs. For my use an LMTV makes sense.
