>Which doesn't make sense. When only the first book was written, people did not recommend the complete saga, and the value put on book #7 was close to 0. What they were recommending to colleagues, and reading by the thousands, was just the first book. If you reread what I said, I'm directly pointing to a counterexample to your reasoning that the saga is not interesting without book seven - because it was, back when it was 1 book, then when it was just 2, etc.
Give me a freaking break. I think you are taking the sample of 1 (you) and then making this argument.
Every single person knew from the start that it is going to be a series. But if they knew that he'd not write any sequel for 11yrs but will keep on writing prequels for his HBO shows then nobody would have bothered to buy his book.
And which idiot will read the first GoT book and will be satisfied. "WOW this is a great book and I don't care if the sequel is ever written". The value of the story is in ALL the eight books and not in any of the standalone books.
Talking to you is a waste of time and I am not going to comment. But your logic was so atrocious that I had to reply. but not going to reply to you ever again.
