    The truth is, conservatives would hide the fact you were living with agressive police police (police state attribute) anyway.       Conservatives have no reason to cover for police given that police unions donate overwhelmingly to Democrats over Republicans. Also, it was conservatives who overwhelmingly opposed the "100,000 new cops" Crime Bill of 1994.

      The recent events have made me much more conservative, and I have zero desire to back unwarranted aggressiveness from police. So what you said is not true.
