Just Don't do it in California because you'll find out you can't register your LMTV in this state....
- mikeyouse 6y agoI've heard you just need to register it as an RV (and actually have a permanent box on the back) if you want your LMTV to be registered without the annual commercial fees. Is that not true anymore?
- gonesilent 6y agoYes that still works in California, can also do it to a big rig if you want to.
- driverdan 6y agoAbsolutely. CA is the last state I'd want to live in or register it in.
- User23 6y agoDomiciling in CA when you plan to live on the road in other states is monumentally tax inefficient.
- throwaway0a5e 6y agoBoth inefficient from an "amount of tax you pay" perspective and a "the amount of good each dollar of your taxes paid does" perspective.
