I had trouble installing on linux and am using the program "redshift" instead.
- reitzensteinm 16y agoI also couldn't get it working on Linux (I'm running a pretty standard Ubuntu 10.04 install on integrated graphics). A shame, because it works great on my PC and Mac, and when I wake up the Linux PC to do server work at night it feels like my eyes are burning.
- mixmastamyk 16y agoCan't adjust brightness? Ubuntu handles my brightness hotkeys and I keep the brightness pretty low anyway. For latenight I also use the compiz hotkey for negative color windows. (It may have to be enabled, and probably won't work on integrated gfx.) It is Win+N and pages go white on black instantly.
- anateus 16y agoIt's not about brightness it's about color temperature.
- mixmastamyk 16y agoIt's about both in a dark room. Current solution works, and have uninstalled the others. Not to mention, he said it didn't work for him.
- cdawzrd 16y agoIn addition to being easier to install, Redshift has the benefit of working properly in multi-monitor environments. http://jonls.dk/redshift/ http://jonls.dk/redshift/ $0.02
- Fargren 16y agoI have f.lux in two monitors, with no problems. Windows 7 64 bits.
- cdawzrd 16y agoShould have clarified: In Linux, f.lux does not appear to work with multiple monitors. Redshift works great in Linux.
- nantes 16y agoFWIW, f.lux is working fine on Ubuntu 10.04, with multiple monitors, for me.
- crocowhile 16y agoWhat trouble did you have? Works out of the box in archlinux.
