The "Mickey Mouse Protection Act" moved the goalposts so egregiously as to damage the legitimacy of the legal protections. Those who manipulate the laws must understand they are weakening the rule of law by their actions.
- jjcon 6y agoIf IA was making a principled stand against some aspect of copyright (like making only works >50 years old free to the public) I could follow and would even be on board but as far as I understand it what they are doing/did wasn’t principled it was just piracy.
