To be fair the colors were configurable and you could easily get rid of the gradient. Remember doing that, but I'm not sure if it was win98.

- ptx 6y agoYup. Windows 95 had a solid color and Windows 98 added the gradient. You could set both colors to the same one to make it solid again.
