- viscanti 6y agoThe title comes from interviewing one of the authors of the paper. It's a term one of the authors of the paper used to explain this. Presumably the way they communicate with journalists (and the broader public) is different than how they communicate with other experts in their field through their paper. There are lots of things to criticize the media for, but this doesn't seem like one of them.
