I totally get it, my dad moved to Tennessee for a professorship, and I followed him a few years later while in highschool. It wasn't my first choice! But after a month or two of grousing about what a shitty little 2-bit town I thought Johnson City was as a highschooler, my dad suggested I chill out on criticizing the town and the people in it all the time, and I think that was good advice. While it may not have been a great "culture fit" for me, that doesn't make me better than the people who live there. I also would not move away from where I like to live for a job.
