- zpallin 6y agoSo, it means Santa Cruz has a track record for being on the cutting edge of policing technology?
- okareaman 6y agoPredPol is headquartered there: "PredPol Inc, the Santa Cruz-headquartered firm that pioneered the technology, said that it supported the city resolution’s requirement that predictive policing “will not perpetuate bias”, among other criteria."
- strbean 6y agoAnd somehow in this small sleepy town, the same 2 blocks have consistently been the "you can always get heroine/meth/crack here" blocks for about 30 years, and they can't predict the need for a squad car parked there.
