WebRTC now works with SFSafariViewController in webviews for iOS 13+.
- Uehreka 6y agoIndeed! Which is pretty neat. If someone opens a login link in their email app it will still work (although I recommend opening it in a full browser). The unfortunate thing is that Chrome for iOS is using one of the flavors of WebView that doesn't support WebRTC. They won't switch to SFSafariViewController because it would remove their ability to provide things like tabs, bookmarks, etc. Apple won't allow UIWebViews and WKWebViews to use WebRTC for security reasons (and I don't see that changing).
