After inspecting the patching tool, I made a Homebrew Cask for it in order to have a basic integrity check for peace of mind. To install the tool using Homebrew, run: brew cask install claui/cask-public/patch-installer To patch the Big Sur installer, run: patch_installer.sh <drag the installer partition here> After patching the Big Sur installer, you can uninstall the tool: brew cask uninstall patch-installer
