- fudged71 6y agoYeah, Olympus is still pretty well represented at trade fairs etc with inspection equipment, seems like really high quality stuff from what I've seen.
- jandrese 6y agoAre consumer digicams even a thing anymore? Everything below the prosumer level had their lunch eaten by smartphones.

- stan_rogers 6y agoWhat the parent meant is that medical imaging and such aren't part of the deal. All of Olympus's 4/3 and Micro 4/3 stuff would count as consumer goods.
- fennecfoxen 6y agoThe fact that they really aren't "a thing" seems to be the exact reason they're getting out of the business, yes.
