If I understand things like EARNIT correctly, they want to limit end-to-end encryption. I don't think they have a problem with HTTPS or any of the other transport encryption schemes.
I know its a bit of a nitpick, but its important that they know we understand the laws they want to push through and STILL disagree with them.
