Dumb clickbait title aside, while it’s good that Apple is making it easier to opt out of explicit tracking with this and improved tracking prevention in Safari, I think the tracking industry is moving to device fingerprinting and first-party-trackers anyway. Might as well make things a little tougher for them, but the tracking will continue.
- Nextgrid 6y agoFingerprinting iOS is quite difficult because of the limited amount of permutations of device type/OS version/language available especially considering iOS users are very quick to update to the latest release.
