Beginning from v5.20, one's also been able to use the postfix dereference syntax, turning: say join "\t", @{ $foo->{bar}[0]{quux} } into: say join "\t", $foo->{bar}[0]{quux}->@*; Whether that's better or worse, it's debatable.
