VCs are not necessarily wealthy at all. Only partners get real equity share (carry) and those can take 10+ years to return if at all. The 1% management fee gives most employees like a normal tech salary, which after cost of living and taxes is pretty slave. Agree on all the law enforcement spaghetti fucking up of course but this would never happen to an actual wealthy person.
