This has just disappeared of the front page!! Wow ....
- dang 6y agoIt set off the flamewar detector. We didn't touch it, if that's what you're wondering.
- wolfgang42 6y agoThings disappear off the front page all the time. When they do so suddenly it’s usually because they tripped the flamewar detector, which notices heated comment threads and pulls the post from the front page to avoid adding more fuel to the fire. (The exact criteria are undisclosed, but afaik it looks at things like comments per minute and comment-to-upvote ratios.)
