What methods and tools are available to the average “power user” to detect and mitigate mobile device malware?

- saagarjha 6y agoOn iOS there are pretty much none. Any that claim to detect such things are generally selling snake oil. (Rebooting your phone is usually a good way to get rid of an infection, since persistence is generally not a part of these attacks, but you might just be infected again.)
- DenisM 6y agoOnly built in browsers and mail clients have high privilege, so use replacements.
- ReptileMan 6y agoRoot some android, install obscure build, install firewall, use exotic browser.
- dredmorbius 6y agoBe fingerprinted by unique stack signature anyway.
