Tech is a circle that goes round and round. Remember when everyone thought NoSQL was a good idea and wanted to get rid of their relational DBs? Nobody remembered _why_ we went to relational DBs until after all of their data was duplicated and inconsistent in NoSQL solutions. I think the root of this is a lack of appreciation for or lack of knowledge of the history of software engineering.
