I simply stopped installing the terrible Logi software. I'm fed up with the crap, the resident CPU-eating daemons, the insistence on reporting what I do to Logitech or registering online for a cloud account — enough of this garbage. Fortunately, the mouse works just as well without the crappy software, once you get it configured.
