I've already been pushed away from Apple after the death of 32-bit. I tried the 2020 MacBook Pro but I ran into many problems, including software support, constant beach balls, and shorter battery life than my old laptop. I assume most of those issues are Catalina not the hardware. I'm sticking to my 2013 MacBook Pro until it breaks or I find something better.
