What does that even mean? The Intel platform is running Android?
- lostmsu 6y agoI assume the tests are same regardless of platform.
- kllrnohj 6y agoThey aren't, though. Compare windows vs. linux geekbench scores of identical hardware, they are extremely different: Linux: https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/2638097 https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/2638097 Windows: https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/2635048 https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/2635048 Geekbench is a terrible benchmark.
- wizee 6y agoYou cherry picked a terrible example. Here are some more Windows examples with the same chip: https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/2628613 https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/2628613 https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/2628613 https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/2628613 In my own personal experience, running Geekbench on many machines, Geekbench scores are pretty close running between Windows and Linux on the same machine. At least for compiling code (my main use for powerful machines), their compilation benchmark numbers also fairly closely match compilation times I observe.
- lostmsu 6y agoYour links are identical.
- FractalParadigm 6y agoIt's entirely possible they installed Android on the Intel platform. Unlikely, but possible.
- neurostimulant 6y agoI had an Intel x86 Android phone from Asus a while ago, complete with Intel Inside logo on the back case. Not sure if they still sell x86 phones these days though. https://www.gsmarena.com/asus_zenfone_2_ze551ml-6917.php https://www.gsmarena.com/asus_zenfone_2_ze551ml-6917.php
