Social progress leaves the trace by giving old words new meanings, regress - by hiding old meanings behind new words.
- vore 6y agoThese are technical terms that are evoking real-life concepts, not the other way around. Words can be reappropriated, yes, but only by the group the word affects: otherwise, you haven't been at the other end of the word and it seems out of place to dictate how they should feel about it, as an outsider.
