What does zero-copy mean in this context?
- sillysaurusx 6y agoNormally, zero-copy refers to the fact that data can be decoded without copying it in memory. I.e. a pointer cast is zero-copy because there's no need to copy the memory elsewhere; that memory can simply be reinterpreted as the target type. I'm not sure if that's the same meaning in this context, however.
